Muztagh Ata: Normal route

From the basecamp (4450m) walk up east on scree and earthy ground - depending on snow conditions you will reach snow at a level of 5000m to 5400m.  

Camp 1: at 5400 or just under the Serac at 5600m
Turn around the Serac on the left hand side - climb up to 5900m - from now on there are crevasses - reach a small plateau from where the steepest part (about 38°) of the route starts (ca. 6000m) - Walk up 200m and reach another plateau

Camp 2: at 6200m or slighly further at 6400m
coming up to the plateau of Camp 2 head left - walk up a step reaching 6600  turn slighly right (crevasses) and then straight up

Camp 3: 6800m
to reach the summit it is a rather long flat walk
(some people head for the summit from Camp 2)

It is about 10km from the basecamp to the summit!
