Pic du Lac Blanc: Glacier du Grand Sablat

From the summit of the Pic Blanc tram, ski towards the north in the scoop under Col du Milieu. Under the pass, head towards the right and then completely east in the glacier dale, via a short steep slope. Always remain on the right bank and go diagonally on the right towards the south to the end of the dale, once past the rocks of Dents du Cerisier. Descend towards the southeast through the flat area of Sablats towards the place called La Grosse Pierre then the village of Clavans le Haut. If you have not left your car here there are two solutions: go back by taxi or helicopter (SAF)...

Entry variant (more difficult): Just after the summit of the Glacier ski lift, a corridor inclined at 40 ° leads to the Grand Sablat glacier.

End variant (without car shuttle or transfer): Leaving the dale, traverse diagonally above the flat area of Sablats to reach the slopes of the Piéfroid and the Col de Sarenne road, above the hairpin at elevation 1867m. A short half hour of walking leads to Col de Sarenne (excellent for a picnic!) where you have only to ski down the gentle slope towards the Sarenne piste which leads to the station.
