Pointe d'Aval / Chauvet: Via La Souvagea

Climb: From the place known as "le pont voûté", to go up the bed of the Aval torrent for 100m then go up the steep wooded slopes on the right bank of the torrent until 2100m. Here you enter the Aval dale. Go up the middle of it until the Pas de la  Souvagea 2889m. From the Pas climb a small scoop to the NE then a croup to the summit.

Descent: by the same route. Possibility of descending sooner (3050m) in the Aval dale directly by large slopes (AD +, S4). At the base, with strong snow cover, it is possible to descend directly in the torrent bed. Check carefully at the top if the snow cover makes it possible to pass because these are gullies.

Variant: -It is possible to carry out this descent traversing from Chambeyron refuge, or by coming from Fouillouse. -Possibility also via very stable snow to carry out the traverse on the Chauvet dale (D, S4 over 300m)
