Ascent Säntis summit
From Unterwasser or Chüeboden (1035m a.s.l.), follow the signs of the summer- hiking-trail. To Thurwis, Chlingen. Arbitrary route towards N. Between Spitzbergli and the cliffs of Gir. Finally turn NE to E. Dismount Skies to gain access to the couloir between Girenspitz on the left and Säntis-summit on the right (100m, 35-40°). At the col (P.2397) there is an option to get to the summit via "Himmelsleiter" (SSE).
Descent Blauschnee
From the col, (P.2397) turn E. There might be a small cornice (1.5-2m, Feb. 2015). Descent via Blauschnee down to 1920m a.s.l.
Ascent Wagenlücke
Turn S till you reach the col "Wagenlücke" (P.2075).
Descent Meglisalp
Ski down the slope towards S till you reach the valley floor. Here turn E and follow the valley until you reach Meglisalp (P.1517).
Ascent Rotsteinpass
Turn S towards Spitzigstein, then SW towards col Rotsteinpass (P.2122).
Descent Schafboden
Follow the valley. When there is bad visibility, beware of the cliffs, particularly around Flis-Schafboden (P.1729). Here better stay at the left flank. Some slopes ~35°! Back to Unterwasser.
